佐位郡
The county where 佐位郡 (さいぐん) existed in the Gunma (Ueno country) southeastern part. One of the forerunners of Sawa-gun.

County area
The county level that started as a jurisdiction in (1878) in 1878 at the time is almost equivalent to the following areas in the current jurisdiction.
- Isesaki-shi (except 3 following areas)
- Miyako-cho, Tsunatorimachi, Tsunatorihonmachi, Sanno-cho, Teramachi, Taisho, Mamizuka-cho, Shimohasucho, Kokuryoucho, Naganuma-cho and to the south
- A part of Sakaikamiyajima, Sakainishiimai, boundary three tree, Sakaionazuka, Sakaiyoneoka, Sakaihirazuka, boundary east, boundary Sakae, Sakaishinei and Sakaimihara
- Isocho
Isocho becomes the position of our county after the municipality organization enforcement of (1889) in 1889. Other than the above, a part of Sakaijima, Isesaki-shi increased in (1882) in 1882, but the boundary line is unknown for an area admitted into before the municipality organization enforcement from the Nanami county.

- The rule as of the Meiji early years listed in "a former high former territory investigation book" is as follows. ●Temple-owned land exists in は village. The Iwahana encampment of the Kanto rural districts hook has jurisdiction over the Shogunate territory. (two towns 37 village)

- - new government establishes the Iwahana prefecture (August 5, 1868) in Iwahana encampment on June 17, 1868. I have jurisdiction over Shogunate territory, headquarters of a shogun territory.
- The Meiji early years
- By the territory substitute of the Isesaki feudal clan, a part (西小保方村, upper Tamura, Kijima village) of the Shogunate territory becomes the jurisdiction of the Isesaki feudal clan.
- By the territory substitute of the Ichinomiya feudal clan, the whole area of the Ichinomiya feudal clan territory becomes the jurisdiction of the Iwahana prefecture.
- 1871
- Feudal clan territory becomes Isesaki prefecture, the Maebashi prefecture by - establishment of prefectures in place of feudal domains (August 29, 1871) on July 14.
- The whole area becomes the jurisdiction of Gunma (the first) by - first prefectures unification (December 10, 1871) on October 28.
- -8 Sakamura is admitted into wave will Emura in 1872. (two towns 36 village)
- - Gunma (the first) merges with Iruma prefecture (1873) on June 15 in 1873 and becomes the Kumagaya prefecture.
- 1876 (1876)
- Kumagaya prefecture merges the jurisdiction of the Musashi country by - second prefectures unification in Saitama on August 21 and is renamed to Gunma (the second). Our county area becomes the jurisdiction of Gunma.
- Tabe Imura incorporates Nitta-gun Tabe village.
- 1877 (1877)
- Kunisada-mura incorporates 新田郡久仁村.
- Mano Tanimura admits Nomura between Nitta-gun.
- 佐位郡 as the jurisdiction is set up (1878) on December 7 in 1878 by the enforcement in Gunma of the - township municipalities organization method. "佐位那波郡役所" is established in Isezakicho and has jurisdiction with Nanami county.
- - Shimamura incorporates Nanami county Maekawara-mura (1882) in 1882.
- The following municipalities start by the enforcement of - municipality organization (1889) on April 1 in 1889. The whole area is existing Isesaki-shi. (two towns 8 village)

- Higashi-son ← 東小保方村, 西小保方村, Tabe Imura, Kunisada-mura, upper Tamura
- It is Ueki-mura, lower Ueki-mura, 8 sun of villages in 殖蓮村 ←
- Moro village ← Moro village, now Izumimura
