Yoji Yamamoto (the mountain cause maggot ^[1], October 3, 1943 ^[2] -) is a Japanese fashion designer. I develop a pret-a-porter (high-quality ready-made clothes) brand in the name of toothpick Yamamoto (Yohji Yamamoto).

I was born in Tokyo, and I was brought up by mother who ran a made-to-order dress shop. The Keio University law department is graduated from after graduation in entrance to school, 1969 to Institute of culture clothes. Double wins 装苑賞 and Endo Prize in the same year. After that I come to intend pret-a-porter.

I establish Wise (Y's) presenting ready-made clothes in 1972 Co., Ltd. and make my debut for Tokyo collection in Wise in 1977. I design a new uniform of Central Japan Railway Company (Central Japan Railway) each in Mitsubishi Bank, 1991 in 1990 [³]. Opera of Wagner was in charge of clothes of "Tristram and Iseult" by Bayreuth music festival of 1993.

"BROTHER," "Dolls" deals with a lot of clothes of the motion picture of Takeshi Kitano, and Kitano uses clothes of Yamamoto habitually now [the ^{source required}]. For 2,009 years, a Paris Cambon shop is open.

On October 8, 2009, old toothpick Yamamoto Co., Ltd. applies for an application of Civil Rehabilitation Law [⁴]. By support of investment company integral Co., Ltd., a shop and department store in-shop, the domestic and foreign wholesale business continue. I continue the Paris collection. In addition, Yoji Yamamoto works on a design as a chief designer sequentially.

In 2014, I publish "Yamamoto & Yohji" from RIZZOLI.

In 2014, I design the third uniform of top team "Real Madrid" of Spanish professional football league "Liga Espanola".

In 2015, I announce collection for French Open Tennis Championships tennis, "Adidas "Loran Gallo's collection by Y three"" (adidas "Roland Garros Collection by Y-3"). In French Open Tennis Championships tennis held in Loran Gallo's in May of the year, a ball boy and the ball girl of the meeting are wearing other than two tennis players of Joe = will Freed ツォンガ player and the hole イバノビッチ player, too.

I announce that sports brand "Weiss Lee (Y-3)" of "Adidas (adidas)" which Yamamoto deals with in January, 2016 does co-operation with space trip private enterprise ヴァージンギャラクティック company conducting a business (Virgin Galactic, following VG company) and pushes forward development of the apparel for the space trip for the first time in the world. The flight suit for the astronaut and the trial product of boots were released on January 14 in the facilities "spaceport United States" of VG company in United States, New Mexico.

In 1994 from France is bestowal of an order in art Order of Culture "Chevalier". I am presented with the Japan Purple Ribbon Medal in 2004. I am presented with royal fashionable society of arts honor royal designer four industry in the U.K. in 2006. The business line brand which targeted Durban Corporation (existing Renoun) and a university student by the collaboration of toothpick Yamamoto. It is abbreviation of Against All Risks with A.A.R. A 1992 start [¹²]. I cancel a collaboration rate last and finish collection with collection in the summer in the fall and winter in the spring of 2008 for 2005-06 years [¹³].
