The artist who Ukan Ri (re-Woo fan, Lee U-Fan, 이우환, 1936 -) is born in Republic of Korea Gyeongsangnam-do, and is active worldwide based in Japan. It is famous by being a big trend of the Japanese contemporary art, and having led "materials art sect" theoretically. Ukan Ri Museum by the collaboration with Tadao Ando was opened in Naoshima. Professor emeritus at Tama University of Arts.
