Shoko Natsuda (なつだしょうこう, from October 1, 1916 to September 18, 2014) is a composer of the Japanese classical music. Old name, 禹鍾甲 (우종갑).

Person, origin

Korea, Gangwon-do (existing Korea territory) Jiangling birth. After having advanced to the Pyongyang normal school, I graduate from an empire music school core course in 1942. I study under Saburo Moroi, Yujiro Ikeuchi by composition.

Masakazu Natsuda of the composer is a son.

Major works

Orchestral music

  • In 1952, it is won a prize the Japanese music contest Original Score first place with "three movements for orchestral musics".
  • For 1,965 years, "the Buddhist monastery for orchestral musics" is TBS prize grand prize winning prize.
  • For 1,967 years, is a part of the "Japan music of the 21st century"; "three movements of "昌慶" for orchestral musics wins the highest award (Prime Minister Prize).
