History
There is the oldest thing which the county name of our county looks like in a narrow strip of wood with message excavated from Fujiwara shrine trace with "後木評". Because I assume a county a review, I understand that it is the thing before the Taiho Codes of 701 years. In the case of Taiho Codes, it was checked in current notation "Shitsuki-gun". "Shitsuki-gun Shitsuki volost" and a narrow strip of wood with message written down are excavated from Heijo shrine trace, and, in the Shitsuki volost, it is thought with a posting stage back town. There are the various opinions including the part district government town where Ebara volost, foot next volost is in the position and does not come by identification. On the occasion of local office setting after the county system abolition, Oda-gun and joint Oda Shitsuki local office were put in Kasaokamachi, Oda-gun (existing Kasaoka-shi).
