Shigenao Imaeda

Shigenao Imaeda (I seem to begin to obtain it now) is a military commander from to earlier period of Edo era, a vassal of Maeda from the age of civil strife.

Career

I am born as (1554), a child of vassal, Tadamitsu Imaeda of Dosan Saito for astronomy 23 years.

I serve Nobunaga Oda and I belong to Yoshimichi Inaba (1570) in the Genki first year and go to the front of a fight of Ane River. I belong to Morinari Ando (1571) in the Genki first year and take the field in Nagashima, Ise. I go to the front of a fight of long Shino (1575) for Tensho era three years.

I serve second son, Nobuo Oda after Nobunaga death and go to the front of a fight of Komaki, Nagakute (1584) for Tensho era 12 years. While I spy upon Tsuneoki Ikeda group of the enemy side, I receive a snipe in Ikeda vassals pitching a camp from sister's husband, 日置忠勝 of Shigenao.

I serve Hideyoshi Toyotomi, Hidetsugu Toyotomi later and get Tomoyuki of 5300 stones as a vassal of Hideji. I am appointed (1594) in 奏請 of Hideji for Bunroku three years by 従五位下内記. Similarly, with Shigehisa Tsuda who served Hideji, I was granted Toyotomi family name (I served Shigehisa Tsuda ものち, a previous country house).

I serve Toshinaga Maeda with 3000 stones after death of Hideji (1595) for Bunroku four years. It is 2500 stone Kamasu later. I made Itsuo, 直恒 of 日置忠勝 an adopted child in (1598) for Keicho era three years. Thereafter the Imaedas and 日置家 became the relationship to repeat marriage from generation to generation.

I participate in the fight of the Hokuriku area of the previous country house at the time of the battle of Sekigahara of (1600) for Keicho era five years and go to the front of Kaga country Daishoji castle attack of Munenaga Yamaguchi of the west forces.

I belong to Haruaki Okumura (1614) in the camp of the Osaka winter for Keicho era 19 years and take the field. It is taken the field (1615) for Keicho era 20 years by the camp of the Osaka summer.

Genna five years (1619), a retired person. I leave birthright to 直恒 of the adopted child and have a stipend for a retired warrior 500 stone. I die (1627) in Kanazawa in December for Kanei era four years. Age at death 74.

Anecdote

When I caught a sweetfish in the Nagara River when Shigenao lived in the Mino country, I was desired and have shared one sweetfish with the man who happened to pass five. From the man who called out to when Shigenao had an audience with Nobunaga with many generals later in a cheap earthwork fortress of the sweetfish was given thanks. The man was Mitsuhide Akechi.
