Shigeko Iwase

Shigeko Iwase (いわせじょうこ, 1950 (1950) August 25 -) is a Japanese juvenile literature writer. YamaguchiKuga-gunKugachoA native place. I am resident in Iwakuni-shi, Yamaguchi.

Origin

After Yamaguchi Tateiwa country commercial high school graduation, I work as a public employee. I know Yoshitomo Imae in cafe "ほびっと" which there was in Iwakuni-shi in 1972 and learn juvenile literature as an auditor of the House of Holy Mother learning for women junior college of Kyoto. For 1,975 years, it is resident in Iwakuni after a return.

I win the で Japanese Association of Writers for Children rookie of the year title that "I can gradually see in the morning" in 1978. "Tanikawa said", "it is not a lie" and wins Sankei child publication culture prize, Shogakukan literary prize, IBBY honor list prize, and "Stegosaurus stenops" wins the stone literary prize of the で roadside that "a hesitation bird flies" in. In 2008, "I cannot wear the warmth" and win Japanese Association of Writers for Children prize. In 2014, "a new child comes" and, in で 野間児童文芸賞, 2015, wins JBBY prize. In 2015, "you should not know it" and win Sankei child publication culture prize award.

It wavers for the relations with neighboring people and is good at describing the figure of the child feeling oneself.

I describe growth and exploring until the end from summer vacation of Nana of the ninth grader living in the town with the US base to the second semester. I look for way of life that seems to be oneself while running through a town on the motorcycle of the boy who got to know in a jazz cafe, and going in and out of an antiwar cafe, and participating in a base objection demonstration, and doing it, and suffering from a parent, the gap with teacher and others adult.

Commentary

The antiwar cafe drawn in a work does actual cafe "ほびっと" which the activist of the ベ flat ream ran in about 1972 in a model. The author really went in and out of this cafe and produced these works from the experience.
