First Ei Ito (mind prosper from December 1, 1846 to February 23, 1911) is a Japanese public employee, businessman. I am known by having founded the cosmetics maker Ito butterfly garden known as "Misono face powder" (forerunner of the papilio after World War II).

Person, origin

I am born in (Koka era November 15, 3), Edo (range of current Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Chuo-ku) as four men, Masayasu (まさやす) of Dutch medical and pharmaceutical method medicine, Genboku Ito called "modern medical father" who learned from Philip Franz phone Siebold of the German doctor, natural historian on December 1, 1846 [1]. I learned French in a Yokohama French language training place. Before long named Einosuke (えいのすけ), Sakae (prosper) [1].

I entered Yokosuka ironworks of the subject people jurisdiction (ministry of official in charge of building, the Department of the Navy jurisdiction)-saving at the age of (old calendar 1869), 22 years old in 1869 and studied in Europe at the age of (1873), 26 years old in 1873 [1]. In the same year, eldest son, Kenkichi (のちの second generation Sakae Ito) is born [1].

I resigned a public employee at the age of (1889), 42 years old in 1889 and turned into the merchant who treated the munitions [1].

It was (1904), the second son of Gifu prefectural government order, Yoshitsura Hasebe and cooperated with successful 長谷部仲彦 for manufacturing development of the lead-free powder in the chemists who did a return home from France Paris in 1904 and founded butterfly garden in Tokyo City turf ward (current Shiba, Minato-ku, Tokyo) [1]. I changed a business name of (1909), butterfly garden to "Ito butterfly garden" in 1909.

Died for myelitis (1911) on February 23 1911 [1]; [2]. 64 years old death.

Ei Ito (mind prosper from August, 1873 to July 28, 1929) is a Japanese businessman for the second generation. I run the Ito butterfly garden known as "Misono face powder" with father and give second generation before long and am known by raising publishing company "玄文社", and having performed the publishing.

Person, origin

I am born as public employee, eldest son, Kenkichi of Sakae, Ito during studying abroad in Europe (1873) at the time of August in 1873 [1]. After father turned into a merchant, I graduated from Keio school organized by contributions, Tokyo high commercial school (existing Hitotsubashi University) [1].

I engaged in production such as "Misono face powder" in cooperation with father at the age of (1904), 30 years old at cosmetics maker "butterfly Land" that father plowed at 57 years old in the same year in 1904 [1]. I changed a business name of (1909), butterfly garden to "Ito butterfly garden" in 1909. 丸見屋 known as "Mitsuwa Soap" sold it later in those days as a sole agent.

Father, Sakae Ito died at 64 years old (1911) on February 23 in 1911 and inherited "Ito butterfly garden" at 38 years old and assumed Master's name of "second generation Sakae Ito" as a successor [1]. I established (1916), publishing company "玄文社" in 1916 five years later and adopted eldest son, 結城禮一郎 of Munizo Yuuki to the chief editor, and "a star" published the magazine such as "a poetic genius", and "new entertainment" (editor in chief Shiko Okamura), "Shinge garden" published a lot of books, and 玄文社 discontinued its business (1926) in in 1926.

I canceled (1925), exclusive representation with 丸見屋 in 1925, and it was decided that Ito butterfly garden performed the sale.

I died (1929) on July 28 in 1929 [1]. 56 years old death.
