Long seven damp land shell mound (ちょうしちやちかいづか) is an early shell mound and the house trace in Jomon period in Hachinohe-shi, Aomori. I was appointed (1983) on the historic spot of the country on May 25 in 1983 [1].

Summary

Long seven damp land shell mound was a remain of the Jomon period in Ichikawa-cho, Hachinohe-shi character head seven damp land Fukiage, and an investigation was performed from (1958) in 1958 by Tomiju Otokita and others of Esaka Teruya and the Aomori cultural assets specialty committee of Keio University. Kikyouno industrial area had been built in our district, and excavation by the preservation maintenance business of remains was performed at the same time (1977) afterwards over (1979) in - 1979 in 1977. In the remains, a shell mound and an earthenware vessel, remains of a dugout were detected in the remains mainly on the red Mido expression earthenware vessel which was in the latter half of an early stage in Jomon period. I investigated a part for the main part of the shell mound of Hachinohe-shi in (1981) in 1981. There are the most clams in a shell mound, and a soft-shell clam, エゾイソシジミ, Corbicula japonica are important. The thickness of the shell mound is 40-50 centimeters on the average, but there is a house trace 111 centimeters thickest.

Approximately 30,000 square meters of around long seven damp land shell mound was appointed (1981) on a historic spot of Aomori on May 25 in 1981.
