LaserWriter II NTX-J
LaserWriter II NTX-J (laser writer N tea X Jay) is the monochromatic laser printer which Apple Computer Japan has ever sold.
Summary
I improved LaserWriter II NTX released in the United States, and it was released as a correspondence printer for world's first Japanese PostScript in January, 1989 by Apple Computer Japan Co., Ltd. at the time [1]. A hard disk of external 40MB of the SCSI connection was attached [2] and carried Gothic (BBB [3] Gothic among リュウミン L-KL) as Japanese font among 細明朝 [4], and a driver was attached to Macintosh as Apple chastity by default [5]. The resolution was 300dpi which was very high for release those days, and LocalTalk was well used in the spot of DTP in Japan in the times of the height of prosperity [6]; [7]. In addition, the screwdriver of Windows was prepared [8].
