Kokudo of Taiwan

Kokudo of Taiwan

Nakayama high speed public road (expressway)

In Kokudo (たいわんのこくどう) of Taiwan, I describe the road which the Republic of China (Taiwan) manages as a country.

The road referred to "a national highway" closely in Taiwan is "national highway" of the transportation department national highway Highway public road station management (called the high-speed public road). But "a way of the transportation department public road total station management-saving" is included in "the national highway" in the meaning called "the road which a country manages".

Difference of "a national highway" and "the way-saving"

"The country" of "the national highway" points at the Republic of China literally, and "the ministry" of "the way-saving" points to province of Taiwan. The clause of the Taiwanese ministry has a lot on the concept of the ministry in Taiwan, but "province of Taiwan" is originally one local administration engine located under the Republic of China, but "the ministry" comes only nominally now in the Republic of China, and the substantial function of the ministry is transferred to the country when I give an outline. Therefore a country manages "the national highway" of the thing different in a post and "the way-saving" together, and it is Japanese, and "a way-saving" will be included in "the national highway" in the meaning called the saying "road which a country manages".
By the way, under the way-saving, a prefectural road and volost way, a municipal road, the ward way which each local government manages exist, but a name and the management division do not agree closely that there is the section that the high speed public road station (controllerate of "the national highway") manages even if it is a way-saving and that there is the section that a public road total station (engine of the country) manages even if it is a prefectural road and does it.

It is the expressway of the basic route to run through Taiwan, and to cross, and a Japanese national highway is near. Generally, it is called in the name of "the high-speed public road", and it may be said that this is a thing same as a common name such as "... Expressway" in Japanese. The English notation "Freeway." It is almost pay (some free of charge section).

  • Ministry way, high speed public road

"The way linking the major cities-saving" is near a general national highway in Japan. But a road to be able to call an expressway in the way-saving exists; this for "a high speed public road" with the name of "the high speed public road" (as for the rate, free). The driveways of the general national highway where the best speed per hour more than a general way is set are in Japan, but, in the high speed public road, it may be said like this. A way general as for the English name-saving "Provincial Highway" a high speed public road "Expressway."
I often point to "the general national highway which is not an expressway" when I say "a national highway" in Japanese commonly, but it may be said that "the national highway" in this meaning hits "the public province way who is not a high speed public road" in Taiwan.

Detailed of each route

  • See the clause of the expressway of Taiwan about "Kokudo" (high-speed public road) of Taiwan. The clause of Naoko includes the whole expressway except the national highway (high speed public roads).
  • Refer to the clause of the Taiwan province way for "a Taiwanese way near the concept of the Japanese "general national highway"-saving". It is described the whole way including the above-mentioned high speed public road-saving in this clause.
