The Kobe jazz street (こうべ jazz street) is a jazz event held in plural meeting places in Kobe-shi, Hyogo in October every year. Kobe is considered to be the jazz birthplace in Japan [1] and is started in 1981 as the memory.

Summary

The first was held in (1981) in 1981 when the first professional jazz band hit it (1923) in Japan the year before the 60th year in April after "Ichiro Ida and the ラッフィング Stars" were performed organization [2] of [3] in Kobe in 1923.

After that I invite domestic and foreign artists and am performed every year in a pub, a church, a hotel, a hall around Sannomiya, Kitano Hill, トアロード. It is said that "the jazz street" points at Kitano Hill now, and a plate is installed in the stone pavement in the past [4].

I cooperate with "ブレダ jazz festival" (Breda Jazz Festival) held in Netherlands ブレダ, and a "Kobe award" prize winner in ブレダ participates in Kobe jazz street of the same year.
