The Japan data storage forum (fame: Japan Data Storage Forum, abbreviated to JDSF) is trade group of the storage-related company established in Japan in 1997.

Summary
In 1997 when the importance of the storage had begun to be recognized, I was established for the following opinions ahead of the world.
- Anyone makes the flat organization which can speak freely with the big things and small things of the company scale not the hierarchical organization where an influential voice is selected as
- I abolish corporate group and faction awareness between makers, and member aspect each other cooperates and works together in competition and offers the solution that is most suitable for a user
- I plan the social status improvement of the storage manager
JDSF is a volunteer-based non profit organization to send the information that a maker, SIer, the user including the operational standard of inspection and the data backup of the storage network system need to.
In 2003, I receive the dissolution of the fiber channel meeting (FCIA-J) that is an organization in Japan of American FCIA (Fibre Channel Industry Association) [1] and inherit the activity [2].

I set up a section according to a storage technical area and perform activity that technical information sends the theme to a base.
- Data management solution sectional meeting (DMS sectional meeting)
- A technical area: H/W, new technology not only S/W about data management, data backup / recovery, email archive, information life cycle management (ILM), business continuity plan (BCP), ディザスタリカバリ (DR)
- Storage networking technology sectional meeting (SNT sectional meeting)
- A technical area: Storage interface mainly on the fiber channel technology, storage network technology, fiber channel (FC), storage protocol
- SSD working group
- A technical area: Semiconductor disk drive (SSD using the flash memory： Storage system using Solid State Drive) and SSD
- Technology exchanges working group
- A technical area: Information exchange of the existing technique, new technology about the storage which each industry needs

I offer the technical study session and technical information that fixed their eyes on a storage technology and a market trend.
