カルシ Hana bird air force base (English: Karshi-Khanabad Air Base) is an air force base in the suburbs of state capital カルシ of the Uzbekistan カシュカダリヤ state (military airport). An Uzbek air force uses it.

History

An Anti-Air Defense 735th battle plane corps was stationed in the base from 1954 through 1981 [3]. Mig-15 (from July, 1950 to 1955), MiG-17 (from 1955 to 1969), Su-9 (from 1961 to 1980) were deployed in the Hana bird air force base. In 1981, the 735th battle plane corps was renamed by the 735th battle aviation bomber corps and was renamed to the 735th fighter-bomber corps in 1984. MiG-23M, Su-24 was deployed from 1984 through 1992 from 1980 through 1984. The Hana bird air force base was under the command of the district under jurisdiction of Turkestan military from April, 1980 to May, 1988, and a chain of command moved to the 49th air force, the 73rd air force afterwards. When Uzbekistan became independent in 1992, the Uzbek military came to use it.

An American air force used this base for development to Afghanistan from 2001 through 2005 and was known for the abbreviated designation of K2 and, in the case of Afghanistan dispute with al Qaeda based in Afghanistan of the neighboring country as "Stronghold Freedom", was used. The 416th expedition air wing (English version) of the United States of America was stationed, but, on July 29, 2005, a strain state increased by Andy Jean case [4] and announced that the American air force withdrew from the air force base within six months. In November, 2005, the American air force withdrew from the Hana bird air force base [5]; [6] [7].

Function

The height above the sea level of the airport is 416m. The runway is one, and concrete pavement, the full length are 2498mx40m [1].
