In 2003, I was developed around Adam Dunkels in Swedish Institute of Computer Science. It was the operating system for Commodore 64 at first, but I am transplanted now by various computers and an embedded system.

Kon-Tiki known as a large raft constructed by Thor Heyerdahl and others is the origin of the name.

History

I it about a version

of Contiki 1.x origin

of Contiki 2.x origin

It is the version that development is pushed forward now. In the source tree top, a CPU and a platform were separated, and platform correspondence to the existing CPU architecture became easy. In addition, correspondence to wireless sensor network (WSN) is carried out and not only I merely utilize an old computer, but also lay emphasis on movement in the new environment that kept a small footprint alive.
