Boundary tunnel destruction by fire accident

 
I label "careful driving for the family"

A destruction by fire accident occurred in a boundary tunnel in (1988) in 1988, and it was a catastrophe that 11 vehicles were completely demolished and started five dead people, injured person five. It is caused by the fact that a following vehicle performed a multi-car collision to the crane truck which skids, and stopped. It is installed the warning sign indicating there being a boundary tunnel a lot ahead from the process to the tunnel entrance this side of the up line, and there is a mark called "careful driving for the family" particularly at the tunnel entrance (only in the up line).

Important Notice of the two-way traffic era

When Chugoku Expressway was just inaugurated, I used it together in some sections of the Hiroshima north JCT - Shikano IC in 2 provisional traffic lanes. Because it was as for boundary tunnel in itself in two-way traffic section in the point that passed through the tunnel in the case of an up line in particular although I was able to pass it in 4 traffic lanes from an early stage of stage, a prospect was bad at all.
