アピート

アピート (Portuguese in Brazil: Apito) is a flute used by the performance of the samba.

Originally it is the whistle that I used to lure it when I capture a bird. A wooden flute was used as onomatopoeia of the tinamou once. It is flat, and a loss founds the shape in right and left like the bill of a spotbill duck and the goose. This evolved and became cross-shaped so-called samba whistle.
