Person, origin

On June 20, 1907, I am born in Yokohama-shi, Kanagawa as "Zentaro Kato" [1]. Asataro Ichikawa who turned into a movie star from a Kabuki actor is the older brother who is 6 years old older [2].

I became a reporter while wanting to be the dramatist who quitted the Kansai engineering special vocational school (current Osaka Institute of Technology) of the old system high institute of technology [1] [1]. In the same year to watch movie "next Yae" of director Yasujiro Shimazu shown (1934) in June in 1934, and to change choice to a movie director [1], I entered the Xinxing cinema Uzumasa, Kyoto studio (current Toei Kyoto studio) assistant director region of the Xinxing cinema [1]. Older brother, Asataro Ichikawa was starring and was selected a movie of director open Mansaku Itami (1935) for 1,935 years if "I put Chuji on sale" and the work by the same author was accompanied as an assistant director [1] and studied under [2], Akira Nobuchi [1], and an exhibition product acted as the assistant directors such as "the daughters of the captain" (1936) in 1936 of the supervision [3].

A movie released on June 22 (1941) in 1941 wrote the script of "the boy who protected a castle" and made my debut as a supervisor [3]. The company merges with a production section of big city movie, Nikkatsu by control (1942) in the wartime with the World War II outbreak of war in February in 1942, the following day, and it is Japan filmmaking (のちの Daiei Motion Picture), and, in Kado, it is in position of Daiei Motion Picture.

I belonged to Daiei Motion Picture Kyoto studio after the war, and the film drama of Riyo Ikebe, the Sumiko Hidaka lead "never loved" "the town of the pyramid" in (1948) in supervision [1], 1948, the following day, and を supervised (1947), a documentary film for 1,947 years [3]. I took a lot the historical drama of "the simulation cat thing" since I took the horror film "monstrous cat Okazaki disturbance" of the Takako Irie lead shown in (1954) in 1954 [1]. "The reserves which mouse boy stealing included" which I took in (1956) in 1956 were great, and they contributed to a distribution income of the company with the Kazuo Hasegawa lead work [1]. It was starring, and the masterpiece "sword of the Nagamasa Yamada king" which carried out location photography in Thailand failed in (1959), Hasegawa for running a show in 1959 [1].

Open Jo Kenzaburo (のちの Tomisaburo Wakayama) lead product did not get an opportunity to supervise a movie (1963) after "a marsh of the ghost story elf fire" in 1963 [3] and left the company in (1965) in 1965 [1]. After leaving the office, I supervised telecine in freelance and directed a pilot film of Episode 1 that Ambassador magma which exposed the real face of the executor to light in (1966), the preliminary stage of the telecine "magma ambassador" in 1966 appeared, but I left it saying "Tokyo is not correct in my nature" and have returned to Kyoto [4]. About the work by the same author, Keinosuke Tsuchiya supervised it in a hurry and I replaced it with the picture of the magma ambassador of the mask type and completed Episode 1 [4]. In the 1970s, I acted as a commentator by "horse racing broadcast" of Kinki Broadcasting System (current Kyoto broadcast) [1].

On July 27, 1982, I died because of cerebral hemorrhage in a hospital in Kyoto-shi, Kyoto [1]. 75 years old death. There is Kazuo one girl.
