Geography
The Bern lied is located in the overLunt district, the gentle hill area of the シュタルンベルク Kosai bank.

History
Otto phone Farey and Adelheid phone Farey founded a monastery in Bern lied in 1120. The Bern lied became a part of closedown ホーフマルク of the Bern lied monastery abolished in about 1803 after 1330. The independent current local government was formed by cities, towns and villages law of 1818 with the administrative reform of Bayern politically. The monastery was moved to the tower house of the Renaissance style. Benedict monastic order of トゥッツィング acquired this in 1949 and converted it into noviceship namely a current school.
Artists came to gather for the Bern lied as an art village. Buch Haym fantasy Museum was made in the deer garden of ヘーエンリート in 1998. After 1999, this art museum becomes the destination of people visiting this town from one of the world.
On January 1, 2007, "アム シュタルンベルガー ゼー" will be added to the name of this town.
