Summary

The symphony fifth is composed in September, 1816 in a year same as the fourth, and it is written on the handwriting music that it was completed on October 3. It is the symphony which is totally different from the previous work for flavor, but, with a work brought on a comfortable melody and an elegant atmosphere making it think with the style of the composer of classicism such as Mozart, popularity is a high work in the early stage of symphony of Schubert most.

  Strange ロ major key, sonata form (with the exposition repeat). It is started in the gorgeous first subject to remind of a symphony of Haydn. After fermata, the second subject is shown by F major. Three codetta assumes a sound accompaniment. There is a repeat sign in the department in first subject, and the second first subject part when I repeated exposition shortens as much as I do not repeat. But exposition in itself is longish and is not repeated very much. Fermata is put during the recapitulation of the development.
