A terMaiko's gulf (Greek :ΘερμαϊκόςΚόλπος, English: Thermaic Gulf) is a gulf of the Aegean Sea. I am located the east of the south of the Thessaloniki prefecture, ピエリア prefecture and the イマティア prefecture, the west of the ハルキディキ prefecture. The name of the gulf comes from the town (current Thessaloniki) of ancient Thelma in accord with the northeast bank. It is full length (the north and south) 100km, width (east and west) 5km near Thessaloniki. The distance from the northern north end to the メガロ エンボーロ cape is estimated to be 15km and open more in 50km south from there. Cape Cassandra is at the east end of the south of the gulf.

I was known as Gulf of Thelma Ickx (gulf of Thelma) and Gulf of マケドニクス (Macedonian gulf) in the ancient Roman age. I am said to be the Gulf of Salonika for Thessaloniki in the present age.
