Tanushimaru-cho (たぬしまるまち) is the town which belonged to Ukiha-gun. The commuting rate to Kurume-shi 12.1% (2000 national census). A place of 巨峰発祥.
Assume former Takeno-gun (Ukiha-gun) level in the eastern part of Kurume-shi, Fukuoka an origin now; local. It is located in the middle southern district of Fukuoka, and 巨瀬川 funnels the Chikugo River, the center of the town to the north, and the fruit tree cultivation that 耳納連山 affects to the south is a prosperous town. On February 5, 2005, I was admitted into Kurume-shi and was merged.
