Prince William (USS Prince William, AVG/ACV/CVE-19) is an escort carrier of U.S. Navy. One ship of the Bogue grade carrier.
Warship career
Prince William starts work in western pipe & steel company of lower California San Francisco of the maritime commission contract on December 15, 1941. Transfer to the British navy is appointed based on the Ren dories method on May 7, 1942 and is changed the name to a striker (HMS Striker, D12). I am changed a warship class of to ACV-19 (supporting carrier) on August 20, 1942 and am delivered to the navy on April 28, 1943. I was transferred on May 18, 1943 by the British navy and was changed a warship class of to CVE-19 (escort carrier) on July 15, 1943.
I belonged to the British navy in World War II and was active. I was returned to U.S. Navy in Norfolk on February 12, 1946 and was removed from a register on March 28, 1946. I was sold to the パタプスコ steel scrap company of Pennsylvania ベスレヘム as a scrap on June 5, 1948.
