Globefish flute

Globefish flute

Kind of the folk toy produced with the globefish flute (ふぐぶえ) in Shimonoseki-shi, Yamaguchi. The grilled dish which is made with a flute made of clay in the shape of the globefish of the fish. Black and white is colored by a basic tone and it blows the part of the tail and makes a sound. The sound such as the hoot comes out when it blows. The size is almost around 10 centimeters.

History

It is the early period of Showa that production was started. A unique shape and design attracted attention and were exhibited at World Exposition in Belgium of 1960 and won a bronze medal.
