Santa Claus village
The amusement park that there is the Santa Claus village (Santa Claus irregularity, Finnish: Joulupukin Pajakylä, English: Santa Claus' Village) in the suburbs of Rovaniemi City of Finland.

The Santa Claus village is in the State of ruppie equal to the Finnish domestic part of Lapland and is on the 8km away North Pole line from the state capital, Rovaniemi City center of commerce to the northeast. Santa Claus office, Santa Claus post office, the shop of Christmas goods are built in the Santa Claus village and are a tourist attraction of the Finnish best that hundreds of thousands come from all over the world every year. I can meet Santa Claus every day in the Santa Claus village, and the taking a ceremonial photograph is possible, too. In addition, a letter arrives from Santa Claus with airmail before Christmas when I propose it beforehand at the Santa Claus post office.
Most of tourists to the Santa Claus village are from countries such as the U.K., Germany, Russia, France, Ireland, China, Japan, India. In late years the number of the American tourists who came over on a tour from the United States of America showed remarkable growth, and it was before I occupied 4.7% in 2005.
Christmas city network
The Christmas city network (Christmas Cities network) was formed by seven following cities in conjunction with Christmas when I participated in the ceremony of opening of the Santa museum (Christmas House) established newly in November, 2005 by the Santa Claus village [2]. In the case of Sendai-shi, I participated by the connection with "the Santa parade" in the pageant of the SENDAI light officially, but there is the connection with Sendai Finland health welfare center (a national project of Finland and international common enterprise by Sendai-shi) which I opened in city Aoba-ku in March, 2005 [3].
Access
- It is approximately 2km southeast from Rovaniemi Airport.
The access in the domestic airline from a Helsinki station wagon terinternational airport is important, and Finnair, blue one go into service to Rovaniemi Airport, and, in the international airline, Netherlands トランサヴィア, Latvian air バルティック, Norwegian Norway air shuttle go into service.
