North Seta-gun
North Seta-gun (I came) is the county that ever existed in Gunma. Because the area of the Akagi Yamakita foot was divided in early modern Seta-gun, and was integrated with Tone where the north contacted with later, it was form to carry the role of the change of the boundary line of Seta, Tone on virtually.

- - new government establishes the Iwahana prefecture (1868) in Iwahana encampment on June 17 in 1868. I have jurisdiction over Shogunate territory, headquarters of a shogun territory.
- A part (Itoi-mura, straight Koshimura, amount of river village, Ishidoshinden, sand Kawamura, Aoki-mura, Hikagenango-mura, 下水良村) of the Shogunate territory becomes the jurisdiction of the Maebashi feudal clan by the territory substitute of - Maebashi feudal clan in the Meiji early years.
- 1871 (1871)
- Feudal clan territory becomes the Maebashi prefecture by - establishment of prefectures in place of feudal domains on July 14.
- The whole area becomes the jurisdiction of Gunma (the first) by - first prefectures unification on October 28.
- - Gunma (the first) merges with Iruma prefecture (1873) on June 15 in 1873 and becomes the Kumagaya prefecture.
- - central figure ヶ 窪村 is admitted into Itoi-mura (1875) in 1875. (14 villages)
- Kumagaya prefecture merges the jurisdiction of the Musashi country by - second prefectures unification (1876) in Saitama on August 21 in 1876 and is renamed to Gunma (the second). Our county area becomes the jurisdiction of Gunma.
- - 下水良村 is admitted into Hikagenango-mura (1877) in 1877. (13 villages)
History after the county start
- North Seta-gun as the jurisdiction is set up (1878) with the area of 13 villages in Seta-gun on July 22 in 1878 by the enforcement of the - township municipalities organization method. "The Tone north Seta-gun government office" is established in Numata-cho, Tone-gun and has jurisdiction with Tone-gun.
- The following villages start by the enforcement of - municipality organization (1889) on April 1 in 1889. (3 villages)
- 久呂保村 ← Morishita-mura, amount of river village, Tochikubo village (existing Showa-mura)
- 糸之瀬村 ← Itoi-mura, Kainose-mura (existing Showa-mura)
- Akagi root village ← Hikagenango-mura, Aoki-mura, sand Kawamura, Class ring village, Tana village, Ishidoshinden, Neri-mura, straight Koshimura and Tone-gun small Matsumura, Kakidaira-mura, Hinatanango-mura (existing Numata-shi)
- I install Tone for the enforcement of the - county system some other time (1896) with the area of a part (Kuga village) of Tone-gun, north Seta-gun and Agatsuma-gun on April 1 in 1896. The same day north Seta-gun abolition.
