History

After the municipalization of the Nagoya Denki railroad city line, Nagoya-shi carried out "the first construction improvement construction" based on the patent line which the company held and expanded the route network. The city acquires orbit laying patent for approximately 58km as a subsequent new route, and the construction plan that called itself "the second construction improved construction" is canceled in 1930, and most of will be postponed as non-opening of business line by lack of funds although I showed will for the further expansion [1]. One of 2 routes founded by this "the second construction improved construction" is Chihaya Line. But Chihaya Line in itself obtained the patent that Owari electricity orbit acquired (1913) not the patent line which Nagoya-shi got (1928) on March 31 in 1928 on April 24 in [1], 1913 by transfer (1925) on July 16 in 1925 [2].

The Chihaya-cho stop of the Chihaya Line was in the Chuo Main Line west and contacted the new Mikawa railroad Chihaya stop that there was on the line east side on foot, but a city purchased the new Mikawa railroad, and the streetcar Yagoto line and the connecting line to bind together between both lines even after doing it were not built [3]. Therefore there were few users between Chihaya Line and Yagoto Line size Kute - Chihaya and I became a target of the wartime material conversion and was stopped (1944) on July 2 in 1944. The section did not revive after the war either, and an abolition procedure was taken (1963) on February 1 in 1963 [4].

In addition, there is a plan to make the section no rail and performs patente application (1944) on May 18 in 1944, but it is suppression [5].
