Daigoro Sato

Daigoro Sato (さとうだいごろう, from October 19, 1936 to September 1, 2010 ^{[1] [2]}) is a shogi shogi player. Nine steps of Toichi Watanabe honor is of the same discipline. The shogi player number is 74. HokkaidoHakodate-shiA native place.

Go career

I learn it from father and an older brother in the days of the third grade at an elementary school at 8 years old and begin shogi [³].

I become a representative of Master amateur war Hokkaido at 16 years old in 1953 and become a disciple of nine steps of Toichi Watanabe honor in the first grade in 1954. 1957 four steps a year (entering professional).

I gain results of each first place in the 14th (1959) Class C two sets game for deciding ranking and the 15th (1960) Class C one set and rise in rank by consecutive promotion to two sets of Class B for two quarters.

It is with a league by the eleventh (1961) king war. I lead it by four wins three defeats, but I lose by a residual jump-off with Hiroshi Kato 2.2 Tatsuya Jou of the star, and a league falls.

In 1964, I defeat Tatsuya Futagami, Yuzo Maruta and others by the fourth "most strong man jump-off", and the final steps forward. I fight against Kunio Naito by final triple match and am a runner up by one win two defeats. Similarly, in 1964, I gain results of the nine wins three defeats .2 rank by the 19th Class B two sets game for deciding ranking, and it is risen in rank to one set of Class B.

I become a title challenger by the sixth (1965) throne war for the first time. Yasuharu Oyama that I looked good with the partner in the middle of five crown monopoly continuation third year. The seventh game became the straight defeat of 0-4. In addition, the throne league receives it for eight times of total [³].

The 27th (1972) Class A game for deciding ranking remains behind by five wins five defeats. The 28th (1973) Class A game for deciding ranking is degradation by two wins eight defeats.

I lose though I go into a challenger jump-off by the 20th Kisei war (earlier period of 1972) and the 21st Kisei war (late 1972).

I enter ten steps of the second leagues by the twelfth (1973) ten steps round and remain behind by five wins five defeats. I fall by three wins seven defeats in the next term.

Championship only for 1,977 years by the fourth "excellent shogi game" in the shogi player life.

By the 37th (1978) Class B two sets game for deciding ranking, I hold out from two wins three defeats of the first half and win 5 straight victories and return to one set of Class B in seven wins three defeats .1 rank. This became the last game for deciding ranking promotion.

By the first Ryuo war (1987-1988 years), Sato is a start from three sets. I lose 2 consecutive games from a first match and I make the first sitting and reach a pinch of the degradation. Because Hirofumi Serizawa of the partner died, one round of the residual jump-off (three of four people degradation) wins by default. I beat Yuzo Maruta by two rounds and avoided the degradation.
