Amato (Amato, from 1835 to 1841) is a British thoroughbred race horse. As for father, Velocipede, mother are Jane Shore.

I enter in the 59th Derby stakes practiced in 1838 and win the championship. Because I retired afterward without running a race once, one war record is one win throughout the life, and one maintains the record that it is unusual called the U.K. Derby. As for the animal trainer, as for Ralph Sherwood, the production, the owner of a racehorse, Sir Gilbert Heathcote, the jockey at the time of the Derby were Jem Chapple. In addition, the horse was the horse which won in the Derby as position horse of the Epsom racetrack for the first time.
