Kyoto prison

The prison where the Kyoto prison (きょうとけいむしょ) belongs to the Osaka local administrative agency for correctional institutions of the Ministry of Justice correction station. Popular name "Kyoto punishment" (today Kei).

I have Maizuru detention branch as lower part organization.

History

  • I establish - "mischief execution ground" in hexagon prison (south of Nijo-jo Castle, authority of hexagon Omiya Nishiiri) (1869) in 1869
  • I move to the - Kyoto Acting Director's house ruins (the west of Nijo-jo Castle, the neighborhood of current Syuzeicho, Kamigyo-ku, Kyoto-shi) (1870) in 1870
  • I refer - penal servitude on an island ground to "Kyoto prison station" (1881) in 1881
  • I am transferred (1903) from - Kyoto in April in 1903 by the country and am renamed to "Kyoto prison"
  • I am renamed to - "Kyoto prison" (1922) in October in 1922
  • I move to - present location (Yamashina-ku, Kyoto-shi Tono) (1927) in January in 1927
  • In the case of - (Showa) Emperor Grand Ceremony of Accession memory Kyoto exhibition, old prison ruins were utilized (1928) as the west meeting place in 1928.

It is four part system of facilities with four copies to a director.

  • Classification Education Department (education charge, examination charge, examination protection charge)
  • Medical affairs department (health section, medical affairs section)

Important Notice

  • The prison ran from 2006 through 2009 and lost letters sent to a taken male convict. Therefore, I pursued payment of approximately 800,000 yen in the Kyoto Summary Court, and the male convict filed a suit against the prison in April, 2010 after the source saying that the beads were lost other than a letter.
    • It is found out that 領置係長 (I retire afterwards) at the time carried a tips envelope containing 10000 yen in cash at the time of the source of the man in March, 2010 in the process, and it is suspected, "it may be a muzzle purpose" [1].
  • I was subjected to a salary reduction in March, 2011 saying that two male correction officers who belonged to the treatment department of the prison wrote it in July from May, 2009, and they stole the Tatsuta deep frying that was the rest of the meal of the convict, and they ate it [2].
