Early career

Joubert was selected as a future great commander by Napoleon. Directoire held a ceremony (September 16, 1873) of the mourning and proved respect to him. The monument put up in Bourg-en-Bresse of Joubert was destroyed after the Restoration of Imperial Rule by an order of Louis XVIII, but a different monument was assembled in a do baud later pop.
