Geography
In commune of Anjou in the モージュ district, it is to the south of シュミエ. Prefectural road Route 160 goes from north シュミエ to south トレマンティーヌ and ショレ.
The shape of the commune consists of the plains lengthening towards the north geologically. The south side of the commune becomes the south side slope of the puy de la ギャルド hill.
Origin
The place name of the different version that we can suppose the evolution of the name of the parish is written down in the chartulary of シュミエ. It became Saint Georges du Puy de la Garde in Sanctus Georgius ad montem de la Guarde, 1476 in Sanctus Georgius de Podio quod dicitur de Garda, 1231 in Sanctus Georgius de Podio Garde, 1120 in 1107 [2].
It was Saint Georges du Puy de la Garde in 1793 and 1801. And it merged with レ ギャルド (Les Gardes) in 1973 and became Saint-Georges-des-Gardes [3] · [4]。
レ ギャルド became the commune from 1851 [5].
History
In 1851, レ ギャルド separated from sun = George = dew = puy = ド = ラ = ギャルド (Saint-Georges-du-Puy-de-la-Garde) and became the commune alone [5]. レ ギャルド merged with sun = George in 1973 and became sun = George = dew = ギャルド [3] · [4]。
The plan that all the commune which joined alliance cash register on de シュミエ between the local governments in 2014 was complicated with surfaced.
