The Thule island (Thule father, English: Thule Island or Morel island) belongs to U.K. territory South Georgia south Sandwich Islands in an island of south Sandwich Islands. When South Pole area is excluded, it is an island located the south most in the world.
Geography
With a triangular shape, 3km in width, the area are 14 km2. I have the peninsula of the shape such as the panhandle southeast. Mt. ラーセン of 710m above sea level is in the eastern part and forms a steep slope to the shore. The Mt. ラーセン was named for curl Anton ラーセン () of the South Pole explorer. The east end of southernmost part is トウィッチャー rock.
I form south トゥーレ with Cook Island and ベリングスハウゼン island of neighboring. It is thought that the トゥーレ island and the Cook island might be ever a single island from the existing crater buried in water between 2 islands. Highest score altitude is 1,074m.
