Yukiya Isaniwa (いさにわゆきや, September 12, 1828 (civil administration August 4, 11) -1907 age (1907) September 4) is the person who acted as Yamada-gun hundreder, the Takamatsu, Ehime Junior High School (close it down in 1886) principal, Kotohira-gu Shrine Shinto priest, the first Dogoyunomachi head. The real name: Narikawa ax gate-guard office (なりかわおのえもん). 号: 震庵.

I rebuild Dogo Onsen Honkan and am known as the person who made Dogo Onsen a famous sightseeing spot of Matsuyama-shi.

Summary

I was born in the Iyo country (existing Matsuyama-shi, Ehime) as the third son of general practitioner, Kunio Narikawa. A grandfather did the Narikawas in Matsuyama from Tosa and entered a service in the Matsuyama feudal clan and was engaged in medical care and was the house which had a profound knowledge of a 31-syllable Japanese poem, and had a lot a pupil. 如矢 was blessed with home environments and was brought up without going to the work private supplementary school for study. I served Matsuyama clansman, Kan good retainer and entered the Abes as an adopted child. I opened private school "老楳下塾" for (Ansei three years) in 1856 and was 1895 before I counted 1,000 pupils until (1895). When I sent troops, by a fight of Toba, Fushimi, being out was left to Kyoto the samurai of the Matsuyama feudal clan.

I handed over birthright to the eldest son taking advantage of eldest son, 柯 (おのえ) having become 20 years old with (1867 / 1868), the Meiji Restoration end in 1868 and did a cadet family and gave Isa garden family name. At first I became Ehime local public worker and I appealed to prefecture councillor, 江木康直 for Matsuyama-jo Castle in accord with an abandoned castle crisis [1] and, after a revolution, protected it from an abandoned castle [2]. After having stopped government official life afterwards via the Department of the Interior; Yamada-gun hundreder, the Takamatsu, Ehime Junior High School first generation [inspection required – I successively held notebook] principal, Kotohira-gu Shrine Shinto priest.

I take office as the first mayor of Dogoyunomachi where I just spread town organization (1890) in the last year in February in 1890. The biggest achievement as the mayor of Dogoyunomachi is development as reconstruction, the sightseeing spot of Dogo Onsen that became obsolete. Though the beginning included the building of Dogo Onsen from deterioration in those days in Dogo Onsen Honkan at time of the rebuilding, I went to ruin for a financial difficulty with being out of control. The Isa garden had just taken office, and it was said that oneself was unpaid and decided to allot for salary for the reconstruction expense of the hot spring. The total cost of construction is 135,000 yen. In the times when the starting salary of the primary school teacher at the time was said to be 8 yen, the townsman was surprised at too enormous budgets, and criticizing it swirled that it was the reckless investment that the finance of the town might incline to. The opposition movement added to intensity and I persuaded a townsman with honesty good faith and completed this great work when "a town was moistened if I had a meaning if (it remains in Dogoyunomachi people rage case and document ・" Dogoyunomachi diary at the time.) which Isa garden felt the danger of the life made the thing which it was not possible for of the imitation even if this Dogo Onsen stood in the Isa garden for 100 years, and people gathered, and living improves of a farmer and the craftsman". There is the grave in the heron Valley graveyard (Matsuyama-shi) which can look down at Dogo Onsen. In addition, bronze statue, monument "伊佐庭如矢頌徳碑" is built at Chuo Garden of the park after a way.

I reported that Mayor Noshi Katsuto and the local person concerned aimed at the further development of Dogo Onsen prior to an event of the 120th anniversary of Dogo Onsen Honkan reconstruction (2013) on the anniversary of the death of the Isa garden on September 4 in 2013 to the front of the grave of the Isa garden [6].

  • I came back to - Ehime (1881) in 1881 and resigned Ehime local public worker.
  • I take office as - Yamada-gun hundreder (1882) in 1882 (... 1884).
  • I hold an additional post of the principal in - Takamatsu, Ehime (1883) in 1883 (... 1885?).
  • I become - Kotohira-gu Shrine Shinto priest (1886) in 1886.
  • I take office as Mayor Dogoyunomachi (the 1889 town organization enforcement) first generation (1890) in a -2 month in 1890. I start reconstruction of Dogo Onsen. I shoot it, and a narrow dies a wife in autumn.
