Nicotinic acid dehydrogenase (cytochrome) (nicotinate dehydrogenase (cytochrome)) is an oxidation-reduction enzyme catalyzing the next chemical reaction.

Nicotinic acid + feh re-cytochrome + H2O 6-hydroxy nicotinic acid + フェロシトクロム

The substrate of this enzyme is nicotinic acid, feh re-cytochrome and H2O, and a product is 6-hydroxy nicotinic acid and フェロシトクロム.

This enzyme belongs to an oxidation-reduction enzyme and specifically acts on a CH group or a CH2 group as a receptor with cytochrome. The organization name is nicotinate:cytochrome 6-oxidoreductase (hydroxylating), and another name has nicotinic acid hydroxylase, nicotinate hydroxylase.
