Jean = Jack ドージィ

Jean = Jack ドージィ (Jean-Jacques Dozy, from June 18, 1908 to November 1, 2004) is a Netherlands geologist.

Life

ドージィ was born in the house of the police officer of Rotterdam in 1908. I learned in Leiden in the early 1930s and established Leiden Geological Society. I climbed the heap of ベルガモ during attendance at school and liked mountain climbing. I went over to the Netherlands territory East Indies as a geologist after graduation and worked until 1966 to retire in Royal Dutch Shell and the Batavia oil company of the subsidiary. During this time, I go over to not only Indonesia and the Netherlands but also Guatemala, Venezuela, Iran. I became the honorary professor of the デルフト college of engineering for the next 1,980 years.

Achievements

ドージィ participated in the exploration of プンチャック Djaja from October, 1936 and shared an action with Anton this in (English version) and others. I discover a rock formation in an end of 1936, and this is equivalent to the current グラスベルグ mine. It is during World War II of the thing giving a publication in 1939, and it did not attract attention. However, after approximately 20 years passed, it is evaluated and leads to the development of the current グラスベルグ mine.
