Karasuma Article 5 intersection
There is an intersection on the direct top of the station Karasuma Article 5 (からすまごじょう) (I refer it to Article 5 Karasuma (ごじょうからすま)). An authority of Karasuma (National highway No. 24, National highway No. 367) communes with an authority of Article 5 (National highway No. 1, National highway No. 8, National highway No. 9), and it is in the starting point of National highway No. 9, National highway No. 24, National highway No. 367 and a terminal of National highway No. 8. National highway No. 9 extends to National highway No. 8, the west to the east, but it is on an appearance in an intersection of National highway No. 1 and National highway No. 24 (for the south), National highway No. 367 (for the north) in (true extension section) because National highway No. 1 repeats in the East-West directions while the laws and ordinances top is the intersection where the national highway of the different number spreads in 4 directions [8].

Illegal parking measures
The measures by the road manager (Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport) have been done about the bicycle parked illegally with an authority of Karasuma, the authority of Article 5 for a national highway. However, there was the fact that measures did not catch up with because removal intended only for a vehicle left for around seven days and was. Therefore, it was announced from September, 2010 that I took measures regardless of an illegally parked period (immediate removal), and a bicycle parked illegally on the same month 2 was removed immediately [9]. In addition, even other points (the outskirts of the station located in contiguity with a national highway) in Kyoto-shi are performed about a series of measures, and the expense is covered with public funds [10].
