Characteristic

The stamens gather into a ring form a lot, and the filament thickens into a club form [⁵], and 葯隔 does not project more thickly than anther [⁸]. The flowering season from July to September [²]. The carpophore has an oval of approximately 7mm in length, 3-4 wings of 0.5-1.5cm in length [⁸], achene 7-16 and it is circular or has a sharp point [²] and hangs down with a handle having a long it [⁵]. The chromosome number 2n=14 (diploid) [²].

Identification point with ミヤマカラツ and the maple Japanese larch

The form of the flower is similar to Miyama Japanese larch [¹⁴] and a maple Japanese larch [¹⁴], but can tell with the forms of the leaf [²]. The small leaf of the feather columbine is shallow, and it is split in three [⁶]. With the saw-toothed leaf which is sharp as for the small leaf of the Miyama Japanese larch on the border [¹⁵]. The maple empty pine needle is split into a palm form and is similar to the shape of the leaf of the maple [¹⁵].
