プカ プカラ
プカ プカラ (Puca Pucara, ケチュア Puka Pukara) is a remain of Incaic Empire Era in the suburbs of Cusco City of the Republic of Peru.
Summary
"West :Puka Pukara" of the Quechua is the meaning of "the red fortress". Because I use limestone on a reddish tinge, there is this name, but the name of the original does not reach it in the Incaic civilization times. Water supply is maintained, and an outer wall and a watch stand, a courtyard are built by making a rock garden peculiar to Incaic civilization. The making a rock garden is slightly more coarse than other Incaic Empire-affiliated remains.
It was located at the position of the barrier when the Incaic civilization way which was a highway of Inca Empire was in capital Cusco and played a role as a barrier and the military affairs fortress for capital defense. Because there is タンボマチャイ in the depths of the approximately 1 kilometer away valley, and a view works each other, the archeologist ロセル (García Rosell) and others expert points out the possibility that I watch it, and a worker contacted it in a flag-signal of both places.
