Summary

I am collected in album "Yes We Can" which Lee Dawsey announced in 1970, and the single cut is done again, too. The original title "yes we kiang." The version of Dawsey recorded the 46th place in the Seoul chart of the billboard.

The process that pointer sisters covered is as follows. The group became group of 4 of Ruth, Anita, Bonney, the June by the Ruth pointer of the eldest daughter having joined it in 1972. They thought that I moved a label to the different company from Atlantic record at the same time and recorded some demonstrations. This work was included in one of the inside. "The yes we kiang kiang" was chosen by intention of David Rubinson of the producer "who liked anything if Allen Toussaint wrote it" [¹].

The version of pointer sisters released in February, 1973 by blue Sam record recorded the eleventh place of billboard, Hot 100 from October 13, the same year through October 20 [²]; [³]. Even Seoul chart recorded the twelfth place. And I record the 95th place in the chart in the billboard year of 1973.

The version recorded in album "The Pointer Sisters" of the release in May of the year is over six minutes unlike a single.

There are Mel & Tim, Jose Feliciano, the Harry Connick youth, Schley & lobby, young people Holt Ann limited, Taylor Hicks, young @ heart, the cover version of Jos Stone and others.

The version of Allen Toussaint of the author was announced in 2005. In the end of August, the same year, large-scale typhoon "Hurricane Katrina" hit the southeastern part of United States of America directly, but New Orleans in particular suffered serious damage. From September just after that through October, a benefit album is produced in the city by the deep artist of the relationship. The toe sun sings this work in the beginning of compilation album "Our New Orleans: A Benefit Album for the Gulf Coast" released in December of the year.
