West area of a castle international university (じょうさいこくさいだいがく, English: Josai International University) is a Japanese private university establishing the headquarters at 1, Gumyo, Tougane-shi, Chiba. It was installed in 1992. The abbreviated designation of the university is JIU, a castle country.

I manage it, and it is run by educational foundation Josai University which Mikio Mizuta from Awa-gun, Chiba Soro village (のちの Kamogawa-shi) founded and is assumed a sister school with Josai University. The campus is installed in four places of Chiba Togane campus, Kioicho, Tokyo campus, Awa campus, the Makuhari campus, and a lecture is carried out by a department and a graduate course in each campus. "JIU" which was the abbreviated designation of the university took the initial of "Josai International University". In addition, I may be sometimes called a castle country.

A study style and characteristic
I may introduce "the adviser system" that a teacher supports for a student carefully and am the school tradition that a student is easy to talk about with a teacher willingly.
I lay emphasis on the education for the purpose of experiencing the real world generally, and internship or a study abroad program are substantial. I lay emphasis on university-industry research collaboration, and OBAYASHI CORPORATION opens a course in a college course financially maintained by private donations by SHIMIZU CORP., Fuji Fire & Marine Insurance, Takasago Thermal Engineering, Yurtec. In addition, I cooperate with Chiba Lotte Marines and cooperate with the ANA Research Institute Co., Ltd. in 2007 and promote an airline-related project. I perform the training in Walt Disney world resort from 2010. In Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, I established the opening of a course of the college course financially maintained by private donations in connection with glow well Holdings and "glow well HD endowment scholarship system" from 2010. Furthermore, I conclude an inclusion agreement with Nikkatsu in 2010 and establish a picture art course in media department in 2011. I teach it in Institute of Nikkatsu art and Kioicho, Tokyo campus in the course. "West area of a castle / Nikkatsu postproduction center" in connection with Nikkatsu studio is added to the Kioicho campus, and, with the practice education of the student, the real editing, MA duties of TV, the motion picture are performed. In addition, I conclude an inclusion agreement with JTB corporation Tokyo Co., Ltd. and carry out the class in the form that is almost business mainly in a sightseeing department.
The extracurricular activities are prosperous, and the groups participating in national conventions as a representative are increasing.
History
Brief career history
The west area of a castle international university was established in 1992 by educational foundation Josai University. The beginning of open studies was established in 2 department 2 subjects of a management information department management information subject and the humanities department international culture subject. The expansion of a department and the subject occurred successively, and a graduate school was set up afterwards in 1996. In addition, Kioicho, Tokyo campus was established newly in 2005. Makuhari campus was established Awa campus in 2008 in 2006. School of Nursing establishes it in 2012. It is a university having the number of the private university in Chiba's greatest departments.
