The volleyball world championship (English: 2006 FIVB VOLLEYBALL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS JAPAN) is the volleyball world championship held in Japan in 2006 for 2,006 years (as for the boy as for the 16th, the girl the 15th).
A girl meeting was started on November 17, 2006 a boy meeting from October 31, 2006 to November 16 until December 3.
Table of contents
Qualifier
A qualifier was held from January 12, 2005 through August 28, 2005. In Brazilian (boy) Italian (girl) .4 teams which were a championship country in three countries, a qualifier was exempted last time with Japan which was a host country. I put men and women together, and 174 countries participated.
Game form
1st Round(STAGE 1)
- At first 24 teams are divided into four groups (pool A, B, C, D) by six teams and perform one round of round-robin.
- It is 16 countries of four countries from each group to send to the next round.
2nd Round(STAGE 2)
- I divide 16 countries into two groups and carry out one round of round-robin here.
- As for the grouping, higher four countries of the group of A and D, pool F are high rank four countries of the group of B and C pool E.
- But it is four games that really play a game that the results of three games of the country which fought in a primary qualifier just carry it over and become (results joint ownership does not fight in the second qualifier).
- It is 12 countries of six countries from each group to send to the next round.
Final Round(STAGE 3)
- 12 countries are divided into three tournament groups by the order and decide order.
- I am greatly shared with a 1-4 rank jump-off (by higher two countries of the second league), 5-8 rank jump-off (by two countries of the 3.4 rank), 9-12 rank jump-off (by two countries of the 5.6 rank), and semifinals = spare war and final = order jump-off are performed each.
- The country which won in the final of the 1-4 rank jump-off is the number one in the world.

TV broadcasting
Terrestrial
- The design of the meeting broadcasts the final of a game with Japan and the world's best jump-off exclusively in a subsidiary of TBS. I broadcast it mainly on prime time for 40 hours. In addition, I attracted attention as "2 large sports, world meeting / monopoly broadcast" of this age with world basketball broadcasted in a similar line in summer.
- Program to enliven this meeting, "world valley TV Val!" were broadcasted in TBS from (on the middle of the night of Thursday, they move afterwards on the middle of the night of Friday) to December 1 on April 13, 2006.
- I broadcasted the game except (because there was the friendly game of the soccer representative from Japan on that day) at 7:00 p.m. level - 9:00 on November 15. I took it not live broadcasting although being during game progress and was performed with soup stock basically.
- As for the highlight of the day, "Tetsuya Chikushi NEWS23" "is Zhu baud" (weekdays); was broadcasted for ten minutes after "world heritage" Sunday on Saturday.
- The game next day at the age of weekdays in "in the morning ズバッ of Monta Mino!" at around 7:30 (after November 16 around 7:15) "in the morning ズバッ broadcasted a highlight on the day before and the game prospects of the country which faced Japan on that day as 2006 world valley".
- In the affiliated station of the site, the broadcast of the attention card except the game with Japan was carried out, too.
- The Asahi Shimbun placed a criticism article about the special treatment by the excessive direction and game with Japan. This kind of criticism is accomplished by similar technique for volleyball meet Fuji TV relaying [1].
Other
- Perfect choice and ska Chan relayed 108 games (man and woman for each 54 games) by free of charge broadcast with 110 (existing ska Chan). The primary round records for each ten games including the game with Japan, and a game with Japan and the final broadcast all games live other than recording, it after the second round. Use an international picture of collecting different from TBS; "WaT X hello all the appearance scenes of the project" are cuts. The real condition was not an announcer at TBS, too, and Yoko ゼッターランド, Takeshi Maeda, Tomoko Yoshihara, Yukiko Takahashi were in charge of the Hisashi Shimoda good luck of the free-lance announcer, Setsumaru Yuichi, Tetsuo Watanabe, Akira Ueno, Jiro Kato, the commentary.
- Difference in time broadcasts 22 games including the game with Japan with the TBS channel on the terrestrial same day.
- In BS-i of the broadcast satellite digital broadcasting from 22:00, titled "world valley highlight 2006," is all broadcast in the highlight of the game of the day in the game with Japan center. It is パンツェッタ ジローラモ, Naomi Mashiko for a commentator.
