Career
Kumamoto Prefectural Kumamoto technical high school graduation. I join a giant with the draft fifth place in 1984. I win a home run leader of the Eastern League for 2 consecutive years in professional the second-year 1986 and the third-year 1987 and show the glimpse of the great talent.
I hit an entering professional first home run in pinch hitters from Chikafusa Ikeda of Hanshin Tigers on the fifth-year May 3, 1989. It takes root in the regular triggered by it, and the batting average is higher than 40% until the middle of June, and I hit 11 home runs in less than two months, and the front-runners of the rookie of the year include it for period at 1:00. Similarly called it with "a bear mechanic combination" with Koichi Ogata 2 years junior who gained power to this age and gained popularity and participated in an all-star game in the same year. However, I greatly stalled from the area in the end of June and was robbed of regular of the light by Ogata in the middle of August, and defense hardening and the appointment in pinch hitters played a key role (as for 32 at bats of results of August seven hits of .219, 0 home runs). In addition, I receive a pitched ball on the left head from Hanshin Mat Keough in a game of August 31 and troop registration is crossed under the influence on September 6, but carries out return by the end of the same month. I finally left batting average .298, 12 home runs, 38 runs batted in and the self-best grade, but the rookie of the year was robbed of it by Kenji Tomashino of Yakult Swallows.
Because Yoshihiro Nishioka who acquired it by revival and left hander measures of Sadaaki Yoshimura with Tatsunori Hara who originally colonized the left field and the regular of the center each other than クロマティ, existence of Koichi Ogata of participation and the inner outfield additional post of the new foreigner microphone brown, the layer of the outfielder including the joining an organization of Takeshi Omori considerably thickened in 1990, the troop fixation comes to do not always go as we want, too. Still, in August, I record three at bats of continuation home runs on two games, and the potence had a thing supporting activity of the last year, but the sudden activity is over for 3 after all home runs as the last year.
I retired myself from the active play last afterwards in 1998 without showing it with 1 home run in the troop in eight years although I played an active part in the farm team. With the gnarl [1] thought not to have been able to beat triggered by a pitch which hits the batter to the head in a part because activity at the time of the troop fixation was vivid. 125 home runs in the farm team in total are Eastern League records now.
After having passed through a staff of baseball team in giants after a retirement, I successively held hitting coach and outfield defense coach in a farm team from 2001, and it was a troop hitting coach in 2004 and 2005, and it was a farm team hitting coach again in 2006. I acted as the talent scout of the giant from 2007 [2], but will take office as a farm team hitting coach again from 2016 [3]. Because Masaki Saito of the Director at 2 forces had a diagnosis of influenza, I acted as acting supervisor from a DeNA war on April 9 [4].
