Shanghai public transport card (Shanghai こうきょうこうつう card) is the non-contact-type chip card which is available in the public transport of the upper mirage. I introduced it in the end of December, 1999.

Use
Other than a bus, a trolley-bus of the public transport of the upper mirage, Shanghai subway, a ferry, a taxi, Shanghai Transrapid, Harue orbit train, an expressway, even a service station, the ticket center of the Shanghai trip play collection and distribution center, the sightseeing tunnel of the outside rough sea are available.
I become able to use it with the Wu-hsi Taihu Lake public transport card mutually from June, 2006 and become available in other Suzhou City, Hangzhou City.
When I use Shanghai public transport card
- A fare of Shanghai Transrapid becomes the 20% discount (50 yuan → 40 yuan).
- I put even transfer including Shanghai fire wheel station Station, Nanjing west way Station out of the wicket and the station where it is, and a fare is applied.
(but the consecutive fare between the Changshu way Station - Shanghai library station is not realized as of the present in 2012.)
- When I change Shanghai subway Route 2 and Harue orbit train, reduced fare is applied.
- When I transfer for bus - bus within two hours and perform bus - subway transfer (possible as for the reverse), a fare becomes discounted by 1 yuan.
There is などの merit. The advantage to be able to go along the wicket immediately without waiting is big in fact because the ticket vendor of the Shanghai subway is easy to be crowded with the masks except the fare (particularly including Shanghai fire wheel station Station), and there is the model which only a coin is available for.
In addition, it is fare 10% of things discount to use afterward during the month when only Shanghai public transport card user uses it more than 70 yuan as a burden on user reduction plan in one month when the rate of the Shanghai subway was revised in September, 2005.
Usage
When I take subway, Shanghai Transrapid, there is a green sensor in the upper part of the ticket examiner and can pass examination of tickets if I shade it with a card there. The common ticket of the Shanghai subway, a common ticket of Shanghai Transrapid, a round-trip ticket, the reduced fare ticket become the chip card of the errand limit, and the correspondence at the time of the entrance is the same, and it is in a form to cast into a collection mouth at the time of participation. I reuse the collected ticket.
You should warm a card over a sensor at the time of a ride on the occasion of use of bus trolley-bus. When there is a conductor, you tell a destination and should warm it over the sensor which the conductor has. But, for reasons of the transfer discount, I cannot plurally pay several minutes in one piece of card. When the card does not pause as ten minutes, I cannot use it. It is desirable for the card to prepare for the number of people.

Form of the Shanghai public transport card
The Shanghai public transport card has five following formality.

- Personal card
- Watch form
Repayment of the deposit (after November, 2007 30 yuan) is possible, and, in the case of refund more than 10 yuan, it costs 10% of fees if I return it when I did not use only a standard card. Card in itself is reused, too. There is not the repayment of the deposit about other cards.
The charge is possible at each station or the convenience store of the Shanghai subway, and the receipt of money unit is to a maximum of 1,000 yuan by a 10 yuan unit more than 10 yuan.
It releases it by a 50 yuan unit with the automatic ticket machine of each station of the Shanghai subway. Finally it is not available unless I do a procedure (free) at a window when it is effective, and validity passes since the day that I took advantage of for two years.
The personal card is released only at Nanjing west way Station, and 90 yuan is collected as custom design charges for one piece of 100 yuan, and remaining 10 yuan is charged by a chip card.
