Platinum (whether a margin) is the place name, a name of a street of Minato-ku, Tokyo. I point to the current name of a street (1, Shirokane - 6) in a narrow sense. In addition, I may point to the whole old turf platinum district that included Shirokanedai that is next to current Shirokane, Minato-ku in a wide sense. I describe current platinum in this report mainly.

Geography

It is located in the southern part of Minato-ku, and, in the north, in Minamiazabu, the south, in Shirokanedai, the east, Takanawa, the west contact with Ebisu, Shibuya-ku across Furukawa (the Shibuya River) each. Reading of "platinum"

Generally, it is platinum which "しろがね" is mixed "is it a margin?", and is read, but I pronounce platinum of the name of a street definitely "is it a margin?" and am not "しろがね" [3]. In general, how to read which has been done, too,

History

History

  • In the Oei era year, Sosuke clears and cultivates here in Yagishita who was a provincial governor of the south morning and clears Shirokane-mura.   • (1889), Shirokane-mura are incorporated into the turf ward in 1889 and become Tokyo City turf ward Shirokane-mura with Tokyo City establishment.
  • In the area of former Imazato-mura, other areas become 3, Shirokane Hikaricho in platinum Imazato-cho in (1891), turf ward Shirokane-mura in 1891, and Shirokane-mura becomes extinct.
  • A house, a store, factories increased in the platinum district that was only suburban countryside till then more these days in last years of Meiji and developed rapidly.
  • (1947), a turf ward merge with Akasaka ward, Azabu ward in 1947, and Minato-ku is formed newly. A crown designation of "the turf" is included in the name of a street of the platinum district with it.
  • A part to all of turf platinum Shida-cho, turf platinum Tanbacho, 3, Shirokane, Shiba Hikaricho, the turf platinum monkey town become Takanawa, Minato-ku with enforcement of the house indication (1967) in platinum districts on July 1 in 1967.
  • House indication is carried out in the residue of the platinum district (1969) on January 1 in 1969, and I put a part and Azabu Tajimacho, 3, Shiba Taro increase towns of Azabu new Hiroo-cho together, and current Shirokane, Minato-ku is established. As for part to all of turf Shirokanedai-cho, turf platinum Imazato-cho, turf platinum monkey town, 3, Shirokane, Shiba Hikaricho and turf Nihonenoki Nishimachi, it is at the same time in Shirokanedai, Minato-ku.
  • Subway Shirokane-Takanawa Station starts a business (2000) on September 26 in 2000.
