Mizusawa river (みずさわがわ) is the main stream of the second grade water system Mizusawa River drifting to Happo-cho, Yamamoto-gun, Akita [1].

Geography

It is started from the Mt. Jiro Court Security Office (946m) Nishiyama foot and I detour around the foot of a mountain of the Mt. It is used in the water source of tap water and the irrigation water of former Minehama-mura. I occupy approximately 70%, and, close to Shirakami-Sanchi, the virgin forest of beeches more than 1m in diameter to be said more than 100 years years old occupies it. It was a fast flowing stream of altitude difference 963m, and the Mizusawa River who drifted to the Mt. Jiro Court Security Office as a source has been protected for a long time as a forest at the head of a river.
