An inorganic compound consisting of tellurium and hydrogen that a chemical formula is referred to as for hydrogen (tellurium かすいそ, hydrogen telluride) telluride H2Te. Tellane (tellane), the form oxidation state of tellurium are -2 values, and the IUPAC organization name is simplest telluride.
One of hydride of the oxygen group element (chalcogen element).
Chemical property
A property is similar to hydrogen, hydrogen sulfide, and, with the gas with the smell such as the garlic, selenium is toxic.
Hydrogen telluride is a-related compound to absorb, and when I put it in the air, it is unstable and is oxidized easily, and it is to water and tellurium [1].
- 2 H2Te + O2 → 2 H2O +2 Te
Because I ionize to telluride ion (Te2-) and a hydrogen ion in water solutions (telluride hydracid), I show the acidity. The acid dissociation constant is Ka = 2.3*10-3 at the same level as phosphoric acid (Ka = 8.1*10-3) [1]. Hydrogen telluride gives telluride in response to much metal [2].
