Blood relationship
As for Hotta, there are many powerful clan which came into existence and books doing in the Owari Nakashima-gun Hotta village, but is doubted because there is much Hotta who can sail it up in the Kinki district before the Muromachi era.
Seeing from family coat of arms studies and a geographical standpoint, Hotta should consider it to be flow of Gion Yasaka-jinja Shrine Shake (period family name Hotta) that is Yasaka. There are two flows of Owari country Tsushima Shinto shrine Shake of a school and the company's house branch which stayed in Kyoto, and the latter genealogy is Owari system. This Owari system is a system of Owari Tsushima Four Devas Shinto priest, 堀田俊重 which is a child of Gion execution, Yasaka (Hotta) 俊全 as the descendant of the Yasaka direct descendant. It is thought that Hotta genealogy of the Shinto priesthood staying in Tsushima Shrine shows their original blood relationship. The clans of the above-mentioned powerful clan are more likely to be branch families of Hotta of Tsushima Shrine origin, too.
It is natural that Tsushima Shrine Shake was born from Yasaka-jinja Shrine Shake because Yasaka-jinja Shrine and Tsushima Shrine are same Prince Susanoo company. Therefore the cases that a family coat of arms of the Hottas is the comma-shaped design which is a crest of Yasaka-jinja Shrine, or are either of Japanese quince [1] (Japanese quince [2] [3] that the crest of Tsushima Shrine is of Yasaka-jinja Shrine origin) are often found. I am derived, and, as for the Japanese quince crest, Oda just uses the Japanese quince of Tsushima Shrine worshiping the patron saint for Hotta Japanese quince or Oda Japanese quince, and Owari pro-Hotta often uses the Hotta Japanese quince. There are more comma-shaped designs in the school of Kyoto, but most of Hotta are Owari system and often use the Hotta Japanese quince.
Among Hotta coming from this Tsushima Shrine Shake, of the descendant of Masayasu Hotta who was active for the north and south dynasty period makes it a samurai; and is development to a base in Tsushima. I appeared in the front stage of the history with Oda whom I served, the national conquest of Toyotomi. This is Hotta of the daimyo in the early modern times. The family coat of arms is Hotta Japanese quince. In the first place Yasaka introduced himself/herself as Yasaka to distinguish it from cognate other systems, but it was the name of the house, and, actually, even a person of Yasaka-jinja Shrine might give its it with Hata for the whole families not him (I agree with there having been many family name among Fujiwara).
