Bunrei Kato

Bunrei Kato (father Rei, Hoei era three years (1706) - Tenmei era March 5, 2 (April 17, 1782)) is the Japanese illustrator who is in the middle of the Edo era. I am known as a teacher of Buncho Tani.

Brief career history

As for the name, as for 泰都, the childhood name, 文麗, 号 named 豫斎, a popular name 織之助, left Kingo in 泰高, a character.

文麗 is from the noble family as it appears in "寛政重修諸家譜". In other words, in 6 men of Iyoozu feudal clan third 代藩主加藤泰恒, I became an heir by adoption of 加藤泰茂 of the whole families and inherited a birthright 3000 stone. In addition, 泰 衑 of the child becomes Ozu feudal lord in succession to the birthright of the head family.

I like images from childhood and learn the law of painting of the Kano group about an illustrator (I believe a lap after Tsunenobu Kano) of the Kobikicho Kanos besides the training of the martial arts. I appeared in Edo and lived in the residence of a lord of Shitaya Takecho. Because 文麗 and the father foot valley of Buncho Tani were the relation between old friend, I became a teacher of 文晁 of the boyhood and conveyed a Kano group. It is guessed that the name of 文晁 was associated with 文麗. In fact, 文晁 calls itself 文麗門下 in a book of (1821) handed down by oneself for civil administration four years.

Ryozan Kuroda, Enjo Takada and others are to other pupils, and Yosai Kikuchi goes out of the gate of Enjo.

The age at death78。 I am buried in Edo Azabu Hiroo light Hayashiji. The example which made the samurai of the high rank like 文麗, and left the name for as a painter Sessai Masuyama, Hoitsu Sakai, Rocho Mizuno, Eishi Chobunsai and others of the thing which is it may be said that it is unusual.

• I attend a gathering (1714) in Masanori April, 4.
• I have an audience with General Yashiro Yoshimune Tokugawa (1722) for Kyoho seven years.
• I become a fire floor walker (1731) in Kyoho September, 16.
• I become a waiting maid of a shogun (1732) in Kyoho May, 17.
• I turn to a new clerk (1743) in Kanpo August, 3.
• It becomes the Osaka constant seller (1749) for Kanen two years.
• I am promoted to Saijo shogunate's guards clerk (1750) in Kanen July, 3.
• I am made 従五位下伊予守 (1750) in Kanen December, 3.
• I do seventy years old (1753) for age of an emperor three years.
