ベンクト ベルギウス

ベンクト ベルギウス (Bengt Bergius, from September 2, 1723 to October 23, 1784) is a Swedish historian, botanist. I contributed to Peter ベルギウス (Peter Jonas Bergius) of the younger brother and the foundation of the ベルギアンスカ botanical garden (Bergianska trädgården) of Stockholm.

Life

I was born in Livereds säteri of the ヴェステルイェートランド district. I entered the ルンド University in 1741 and got a degree in 1745. I acted as an associate professor of the history from 1747 through 1749. I moved to Stockholm and acted as the member of of the remains depository judgment and the manager of the bank afterwards.

I collected documents about the history of the politics and education of Sweden from school days and left valuable documents in enormousness. I was chosen as the member of the Swedish scientific academy in 1766. I founded a foundation (Bergianska stiftelsen) with natural historian of the younger brother, Peter ベルギウス in 1791 and contributed a botanical garden to Karlbergsvägen for education and a study of botany and the horticulture. The botanical garden is moved to Brunnsviken in 1885, but follows to date [¹].
